Anjel McLaughlin, Master Stylist, knows that success as a stylist begins with passion but depends on education and training to grow and develop.

A graduate of The Ohio State School of Cosmetology, Anjel began her career, working in some of the most prestigious high-end salons in Columbus. Anjel developed her professional skills, setting herself apart as a creative force. A firm believer in continuing education and training, Anjel traveled nationally and internationally, gaining additional training and inspiration. She studied with Toni & Guy and Vidal Sassoon in London and trained in New York City, New Orleans, Chicago and California with some of the industry’s best & brightest. Anjel’s skills, talent and creativity have resulted in work on numerous fashion photo shoots.

In 1997, Anjel opened her own salon, Akada. At Akada, Anjel has created a relaxed atmosphere where clients can enjoy themselves while receiving outstanding service and care. Working in this friendly, collaborative salon brings the best out in the Akada staff, giving both clients and staff a great experience.

Believing that dreams can come true, Anjel empowers her staff to learn, grow and create, encouraging everyone to develop their own plan and vision for success. All stylists are required to take additional classes through the Akada in-house training program and to explore other seminar and workshop opportunities.
